• July 22: UDM hosts the PGA’s Rocket Classic, tickets now available

  ±«Óãtv has once again partnered with the PGA as the exclusive university sponsor for the annual Rocket Classic at Detroit Golf Club this summer.

  As part of the sponsorship, UDM has a limited number of general admission tickets available for each day of play. Proceeds from the purchase of these tickets will benefit the ±«Óãtv Alumni Scholarship Fund.

  Each ticket purchase includes one entry for a chance to win a VIP Experience inside the ropes on a tournament day. Two experiences are available, each accommodating two people.

  The winners’ names will be drawn the week before play begins.

• July 20: All welcome at TENN Garden Party, July 21

  All are welcome to help Titan Equity Nourish Network (TENN) celebrate our community and bustling garden with an evening of food and harvesting on Tuesday, July 21.

  The garden party is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the TENN Community Garden, located on the McNichols Campus behind the College of Health Professions facility.

  UDM’s Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA) program has been reaccredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) for an eight-year term. This milestone affirms the program’s continued commitment to academic excellence and student success.

• July 11: Registration now open for Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice

  Are you a student or do you teach/work with a student with a passion for justice work?

  The signup for the is now open. Each year, University Ministry takes eight students on this weekend conference to Washington, D.C., to learn, network and advocate for justice issues alongside other Jesuit schools.

  IFTJ is an annual gathering for members of the Ignatian family (Jesuit high schools, colleges and universities) to come together in the context of social justice and solidarity to learn, reflect, pray, network and advocate together. The group gathers each year in the spirit of the Jesuit martyrs of El Salvador, using their lives and ministry as inspiration for discovering the injustices of today and how to strive for a better world. The Teach-In is a place where people are empowered, re-energized, inspired and challenged by hearing nationally renowned speakers and student leaders on topics such as justice for immigrants, ecological justice, racism, sustainability, LGBTQ+ inclusion, solidarity and how to advocate for U.S. policy change.

  On the last day of the Teach-In, student delegations meet with their senators and representatives to advocate for policy change on issues of immigration or climate change.

  Teach-In Dates: Saturday, Nov. 14 – Monday, Nov. 16

  Cost to attend: $150 (All inclusive–includes transportation, hotel, all meals and conference registration) University Ministry covers the rest of the weekend’s expenses to keep the cost low for students. Some need-based scholarships are available if this cost is an obstacle to attend.

• July 08: URec introducing new waiver at Student Fitness Center

  ±«Óãtv’s University Recreation is excited to announce a new facility access and check-in process at the Whitty Student Fitness Center, which is designed to improve user experience and prepare future facility enhancements.

  All users must have a completed NEW recreation waiver on file and must check in at the front desk each time they visit the Whitty Student Fitness Center.

  What you need to do:

  • Complete a new recreation waiver
  • Bring your Titan ID or use the DSE Recreation App to check in
  • Swipe or scan at the front desk upon arrival for facility access

  The new process allows URec to:

  • Improve facility access and security
  • Better track facility usage and participation
  • Enhance member services and future program offerings
  • Prepare for upcoming access control and facility improvements

  To complete a new recreation waiver, scan one of the QR codes posted throughout the Student Fitness Center or visit the link below.

• July 07: Catch Titan men’s basketball in Mexico, Nov. 24-25

  ±«Óãtv community: the Titan men’s basketball team is playing in the Cancun Challenge in Cancun, Mexico during the Thanksgiving holiday, Nov. 24-25.

  Ticket packages are available for those who would like to make the trip to Cancun.

  The last time UDM played outside of the United States during the regular season was in 1999, when the Titans competed in the San Juan Shootout in Puerto Rico. ±«Óãtv has also played regular-season games several times in Canada previously.
